Official support for the UA-4FX went into 2.6.28. However, the alsa matrix is a different wiki than this. I'm not interested in signing up over there for such a minor edit. I haven't looked at the page in a while. I'm taking a minute to update it. Official support for the UA-4FX went into 2.6.28. However, the alsa matrix is a different wiki than this.
