I am Ed from Sunny Southern California. I have been into computers and music for as long as I can remember. Long ago, I remember being fascinated by Midi when it was in it's infancy. My first computer was an Apple IIgs. I wanted an Atari ST but there was no convincing my parents that this was not the same as the 2600.That gs along with a Casio keyboard was enough to show me how utterly useless Midi was. Remember, this is 198? something and computer/Midi was just a baby.Anyway, it wasn't very long before I learned of the 8bit Demo scene and was introduced to what I believed to be the greatest computer music App ever. Yep, Screamtracker,FastTracker and the gang.In The late 80's Module Trackers were the real power in computer music.

Tracking allowed me to really sharpen my production skills and was invaluable to my development as a musician and engineer. Over the last 10 years,I have been using a combination of Homebrew and Open Source Music Tools on the Linux Platform. Over the last seven years, I have produced music with ease and reliability in this environment. My open source rig today easily outperforms Protools Rigs and costs 10s of thousands $ less.

My Present system consists of:

My studio also has:

You can hear 4 of my songs at:

All were done on my Linux box:

If you have a listen, drop me a note. If you want to know how I did something, just ask. l0rd.v8r@charter.net Thanks
