[edit] Introduction

There is a wide range of free and open source software available for music production on GNU/Linux as well as on other operating systems. This page exists as a directory for musicians using free and/or open source software to link to their music and to describe the hardware and software setups that they used.

Musicians: please create a page in the section below, in alphabetical order. On your page, link to external sources for your music (the Open Source Audio Archive is a good option if you cannot host it yourself) and please give as much information as possible about the setup used to make the pieces (pay particular attention to the software used, samples and instrument patches utilised, processing/compression, and recording methods). You can also add a link to your page from the Linux Musicians page (or create a new index page if you are using a different kernel).

To create a new user page click on Edit this document, at the bottom of this and every page, and simply add your ```FirstnameLastname``` to the list below in Lastname order, then once saved, note that there will be a clickable ? link at the end of your newly added name, clicking on that ? link will take you to your new page. Off-site links can be added by enclosing the url in square brackets with the name of the link separated by a space thus: ```linkname```. If you wish, you can also add a link to your tracks on RadIO to allow others to listen to streaming versions of your tracks. For questions about this page, please contact jmstone |AT| dsl dot pipex dot com.
