The gratitude continues... I'm not sure how you manage to catch them so quickly... anyway, the IPs in the list on the front page are now blocked from accessing this server. That should cutdown on some repeat offenders.

I check this site regulary (once a day - sometimes more). I use "Recent Changes" page, checking for latest changes using "History" and "Compute Diffrence" button. If I find spam I use "Edit this ARCHIVE VERSION" of this document" from good revision Ctrl + A and Ctrl + V and old original page is restored.

This need only few minutes to restore spamed pages. Only problem is when new page is created by spammern - this can not be removed, but if there is not link to it, this is not problem.

True. Those kind of pages can be removed directly from the database though. I've removed dozens of those "hack attempts" where they use a http URL for the pagename.
